Sounds like you are sporting real wood for “certain Freepers”, what gives?
In the early 1980s, I was visiting my parents in Florida. Their land lies close to the Eglin AFB Reservation.
Late one evening, about dusk, I saw a quiet jet fly over at a low altitude. It had rounded wings just like the fake model stealth fighter which came out about then.
When the real one showed up it looked nothing like what I had seen. I still wonder what it was. It was not an F-4.
Was the goal here to write an informative vanity post, or just to take snarky potshots at “some freepers?” The post would have been better without the latter.

A British Pilot was talking to a group about his ordeals during the War. He explained how he was surrounded by enemy planes.

The group leaders said “Oh wait a minute.. perhaps you should explain the the people that a Fokker was the name of a German Aircraft”

And yet, it will always be like that. If there is one thing the history of science can teach us, it is that when man is wrong about a theory it can take many, many years to overturn it. The Geocentric theory got around 2000 years of defense until the overthrow by Galileo, Kepler, and Copernicus.
So, for those of us that like accurate science, we are sometimes in for a wait to have nonsense removed. I am just not sure how long we will have to wait on man-made global warming, long-earth, and evolution theory to get out of the way.
