"Priority Mail"
vanity | 6/29/18 | self

Earlier this week I mailed some important documents Priority Mail- with tracking. It has vanished. I ran the tracking number and there is no record of it. I personally delivered it to the Post Office and it is gone. Now I have to get copies of the missing documents and mail them again. This time UPS or FEDEX.

Has anyone else had this experience with the USPS? What good is the USPS?

You put it in the wrong box. If you don’t take it inside and get it scanned, it’s not in their possession. It probably didn’t get picked up until the next day, and then not into the system until it got to the distribution center.

Your “delivery” method probably added two days to the process.

And, the post office where you dropped it off is not the same people who process the “mailbox” mail. AND if you put it into an Express Box...you just added another day on your delivery.

YOU made the mistake.

Nope. It’s three days now and the package has vanished. Was to be one-day delivery and it has vanished. I have to copy all docs and resend. But yes, this time I will take it to the clerk to make sure it is scanned and get a receipt.
