Turn your Italians Off! ASH ALERT! Are you Eschoir? DITHF...Get out of Chenys house!.....oh the memories....
Awesome stuff. I started lurking somewhere around in there. Proud member of the Dr. Raoul I bedeviled Hillary club. There were a half a dozen or more of us scattered around the country.
Not a peep from CAL in a long time. I wonder sometimes what she is up to.
For Later...
..every alternative media website, the Chan’s, streaming video, ALL owe Jim Robinson and the FreeRepublic family a debt of gratitude for carrying the torch of freedom and truth these many years—God bless you all...
How it all began?
Well.....
“It was a dark and stormy night.....”
Awesome.

My first exposure to FR was when I was shouting down the illegal 2000 recount at the Broward County courthouse. We were literally in the street, faced off against the Gore-bots with a police enforced no man’s land in between. There was some guy who would sneak around behind the gore-bots and every time a camera would pan to them he would lift a big FREE REPUBLIC sign without them realizing it.
I guess I was FReeping without realizing it.

We stand on the shoulders of giants.
I lurked in 97 after finding FR on Drudge. Introduced the ‘soon to be’ Mrs Conan to FR shortly after that. Enjoyed the Whitewater/impeachment threads, and, remember watching the video the day of the impeachment vote with the Dims getting on a bus to drive to rally with Slick. I think it was a Saturday, because I was the only person at work. I had to make up time because I was taking my Dad to chemo during the week. He was there for our wedding, but, didn’t last much longer than that. FR helped me through that.
But, for some reason, I never joined until Sept 98, the day before we got married.
Go figure.
Wonderful times.
Never got to the ‘right coast’ during White House happening.
Followed online though.
Those were innocent times relative to today.
Still have the giant cigar with the flag sewn on I used to protest the ‘bent one’.
Ah, memories...
Wow. Ive never seen that video before. Ive been here what 13 almost 14 years. Thanks for posting.

That was when I took my kids out of school for a day and led a Freeper convoy from Lexington, MA (first shot of the Revolutionary War) all the way to Washington D.C. where we stayed at the Hotel Excelsior. The event took place the next day (Saturday) which was also Halloween. We met Matt Drudge in person as well as other notables. Jim Robinson was there in person as well.
It was a very warm day for that time of year and afterwards, my family and I walked around the reflecting pool and saw the sunset form the Lincoln Memorial. The kids were a little bummed they missed Halloween but before driving home on Sunday, we let them buy about 10 pounds of candy at the CVS (which was marked down considerably).
