I actually got to meet Drudge at the Impeach Clinton rally in front of the White House in 1998. We were talking about the military and my upcoming retirement from the US Army.

Had no idea who the guy with the hat was. Just thought he was another bystander like me.

I was recently reminded by a very early Freeper that Jim Rob organized a group in October 1998 that went to the DC Mall and demanded Clinton be impeached. Without that demonstration, some say the impeachment would never have happened.

Representative Henry Hyde, stated the Oct 31, 1998 FR "March for Justice" empowered the House Managers to vote for Impeachment. Don't remember if it was at the FR House Managers dinner or an aside on CSPAN.
