can Catholics become freemasons?.....to be honest, the general thought on freemasons when I was growing up was that it was a Protestant group that were against Catholics.
Catholics doctrine says they can’t be Freemasons.
Some Protestant denominations also forbid it.
My current theory: The rank and file of most organizations are innocent - Freemasons, Catholics, even Democrats. It’s the top that’s corrupt.
I’m betting the DS owns the top hierarchy of the Catholic church. Not sure how long that’s been the case.
I’m betting the DS has ALWAYS owned the top of the Freemasons. I suspect that most members are drawn in because it seems fun to belong to a secret club, to feel a part of the “in group”. And I’m betting that those at the top are happy to have a bunch of innocent unaware rank and file members to give them credibility as a cover for the evil they do. The rank and file also give them a chance to look them over for promising recruits to the DS. Then they can pick and choose, then groom them.
Wrong! Many catholics are Freemasons. The problems was between the earlier Knights and The Pope(s). Popes stole all the money and killed many. That is the meaning of Friday the 13th. Knights were rounded up and burned at the stake. Knights did all the work. Pope took all the proceeds. Look up Jacques DeMolay.
My understanding is Masons will accept Catholics but the Catholic hierarchy will not allow Catholics to become Masons. It is punishable by excommunication. My information may be dated but I think it’s still in effect.
