Thanks - glad you brought that to my attention.

I had not heard that term before, and I was thinking of the Italian word for “eat,” which contains an “I”. That guess of mine isn’t so far-fetched when you consider the spirit cooking and such horrific topics we have been bunny holing around here for a while.

An online dictionary has it thus:
“What does the Italian word ‘mangia’ translate to in English ...
It can be translated in a couple of different ways. Mangia is a coniugated form of the verb mangiare, which means to eat. It can either be the third singular form of the present, which would made the translation “He/She/it eats”, or the imperative...”
