I wonder if they’ll allow the film crew for Obambi’s movies to operate at Gitmo. Or maybe they’ll do their thing in Kenya...

Mark Zuckerberg Joins The North American Man-Boy Love Association, And Other Adventures In Facebook Groups

My colleague Kashmir Hill congratulated Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg earlier today on his increasingly savvy approach to talking about privacy issues in public. It should be interesting to see him try to talk his way out of this one.
Recommended by Forbes

The new “Groups” feature that Facebook rolled out yesterday allows users to slice and dice their friends into publicly-visible cliques, recognizing that users don’t always want to share something with their entire friend list or just a single recipient. But Sophos security researcher Chet Wisniewski points in his blog to a gaping problem in that feature: Any user can add any of their friends to one of those groups without the friend’s approval, generating a status update showing that the friend has been added to that group.

Blogger Michael Arrington seems to have already performed a helpful proof-of-concept by adding Mark Zuckerberg to a group supposedly representing NAMBLA, the North American Man-Boy Love Association. Zuckerberg’s addition to the group is broadcast to all of his friends, as shown in the image above.

Mahalo chief executive Jason Calacanis had complained in an open letter to Zuckerberg earlier Thursday that he was added to the same boy-loving group, and offered a bit of free privacy consultation to Facebook. “I’ve now been assigned to a group that advocates… well…. ummm…. you can look it up–it’s very bad,” he writes. “If you guys want to run these new features by me before you launch them, I can probably save you from a couple of privacy law suits each year. :)”

Though some have questioned Calacanis’s story, Facebook’s own FAQ confirms that anyone can be added to a group without his or her consent: “Can I prevent people from adding me to a new group?” is answered by “The functionality of approving a group membership is not available.”

Sophos’ Wisniewski argues that the prank could have serious consequences. “Imagine you are traveling to the United States from overseas and your friends find it amusing to add you to a group that looks terrorist related,” he writes. “You might find a welcoming committee from the border patrol that you weren’t expecting.”

In fairness, however, the problem of finding yourself subscribed to a group you’d rather not associate with isn’t new. As my colleague Kashmir points out, we all occasionally finds ourselves unwillingly subscribed to an email listserv that broadcasts its membership to every other member. Unlike email, however, Facebook Groups are visible to friends who aren’t members of that group.

I’ve reached out to Facebook to comment on this and will update if I hear from Facebook executives.

Facebook should be given credit for avoiding the auto-population feature that Google Buzz used to generate friend lists from users’ activities when it launched last February. As Kashmir wrote, the company could have used that technique to automatically segment users into Facebook Groups, but would likely have incurred the same privacy wrath that Google faced when its Google Buzz trick exposed who users were most often chatting with without their express consent.

But Facebook Groups’ tactic of letting users create lists manually creates its own potentials for embarassment. Expect Zuckerberg to tweak the feature to fix this design flaw, or find himself enrolled in many more clubs that are less than seemly for a CEO.

Do you see Facebook Groups as another privacy flub for Facebook? Or is Zuckerberg making progress in overcoming Facebook’s privacy criticisms? Let me know your thoughts in comments below.

The Annapolis Shooting is trending on Twitter and as expected, trolls are pushing it is all Trumps fault. ‘If he would not degrade the media this wouldn’t have happened’.

I think the delay is due to the fundamental problem that the DS has more power and political support within the federal government than the 0resident does. The president is still rather weak politically within Washington, without even the support of much more than half his own party, the other half being firmly DS...and half is a significant improvement from where he started.

He has significant, even tremendous, power within certain specific areas, like foreign and military policy and economic/regulatory policy. But remember this above all: TRUMP is NOT a disruptor, nor is that is intention. He is attempting to restore the nation, not overthrow it. He is not trying to create upheaval and chaos, which would doom his presidency, he wants to achieve his goals WHILE America prospers.

Taking out the former administration actors by arresting them would create great upheaval...riots would cause cities to burn...many deaths would occur...open civil strife would occur and probably for a time get out of control. That doesn’t help Trump achieve his goals. He must move very deliberately and carefully in these things to not allow our opponents, the Democrats and DS, to take advantage and create open warfare in the streets...because that will hurt Trump more than them. Trump needs to keep things under control - that’s what HIS job as president requires.

We may not see anything significant on releasing information or bringing bad actors to justice until after the midterms...at the earliest. I think he is working hard to increase the Republican majorities - in a midterm, that’d be a massive upset similar to his own election - and that will increase his political power in D.C. dramatically. And that would allow him to be able to begin taking action on this front with much stronger moves. I think this is where we are at, and we should realize that this is, of necessity, a Very Very Long “game”.

As a follow up to the JFK Jet Blue incident from the previous thread, I’m being told that they took everyone off the plane, but not everyone got back on the plane.

No other info at this time.

You are, not surprisingly, missing the point.

JFK and JFK Jr. were popular cultural figures, charismatic and (thanks to the fools in the media) popular enough to be a danger to the deep state. The connection between JFK Jr. and Trump was real and well documented; you don't have to be a conspiracy theorist to imagine Hillary removing him, when the entirety of her political trajectory is reliant on that very event.

My family and I were discussing this point the other day. You don't have to follow the conspiracy theory narrative to understand JFK Jr would have been a huge threat to the deep state and cabal if he had aspirations to become a future president.

If JFK Jr had ever become president, he would have access to info about his father's assassination that only a president would have. Talk about a reason to go after the deep state and cabal, that would be a huge motive to go after them. Whether JFK Jr's death was planned or convenient does not matter, it was one huge threat out of their way.

So how many chances do they get to obstruct before someone’s arse is behind bars for contempt? I thought a deadline already passed this week.

Posting blind...watching the events unfolding on Fox about the Annapolis shooting.
Prayers up.
Attack on a paper news room.
Shooter is captured.

If shown to be a terrorist attack the FBI will take over from locals.

Checking on possible explosives per MD police.

My first thoughts are probably as many here, so I’m likely not saying anything new, but rather am GMTA’ing with the Q Hive Mind we have going here.

Attack on news room is FF because they will probably begin painting it as the very dangerous thing Trump is doing to gin up the conservatives against the media so someone is hurt. The attacker will be painted as supposedly so angry at the Fake Media that he attacks it.

Nevermind that it is, as Q tells us, a “Projection.” It is exactly their thinking and what THEY would do.... and are doing. They are trying to put upon our POTUS and people the very evil they themselves do.

Got me wondering about the sheriff. A pub, was just defeated in a primary exactly two days ago. Was charged with assault & battery during term. Also there was a leak of sealed indictments against some gang members that was attracting negative attention.

Also, the Tower shut them down, not a pilot making a “mistake” with the hijack code.

President Trump comes to Wisconsin today for the Foxconn groundbreaking. For those who don’t know, this plant, when finished will exceed 20 million square feet. This will be the largest manufacturing facility in the world. The square footage alone will be three times the size of the Pentagon.

Once fully constructed, Foxconn Wisconsin will employ as many as 13,000 people. Whether you like Scott Walker, Ron Johnson or Paul Ryan, these men were very helpful in different ways, for facilitating the efforts of this Chinese company to locate in Wisconsin.

Wisconsin used to be a fairly blue state with a large union population. Constant Democrat leadership led the state down the path of tax and spend. Walker and others have transformed the state, regularly lowering taxes and attracting business.

Our current unemployment rate in Wisconsin is 2.9%. That is not a typo. 2.9%!..........go cheeseheads!

That's awesome and good for you guys and gals of Wisconsin.

I'm hoping Kris Kobach can do this for our state if we can get him elected to the Governor's office. The tax and spend mentality here is out of control and I hope we put more legislators in who are more responsible with other people's money. I also hope the good people of Kansas ignore the local medias, who push the big government, tax-and-spend BS.

MAGA!

***Until the the EO is signed and WE the People see the IG report and all the other evidence, none of this is worth wasting time on***

Absolutely! All the noise of sound and fury, signifying nothing - or very little. The Cong has had the power to force these docs since the beginning but they keep ceding more time. De-fund! Impeach! Do something!

Meantime, the DS and the MSM make thundering noise about lies and deception - immigration - and the greatest scandal in American political history morphs into a soap opera drama. Obviously time is being poured out in anticipation of ???

Thanks for the great job posting the Q drops! :^)
