wonder how those passengers who complained feel now, this "smelly " passenger actually dying...
the smell of rotting flesh is not pleasant...try being a nurse in a hospital....but I feel they treated this passenger dis respectively...
they allow smelly dogs and pigs on planes but smelly humans are a no go...

Apparently the smell was causing other passengers to vomit and faint - this is a very sad case, but a passenger whose smell causes illness in others near him can't be allowed to remain in a plane.

I can’t fault the passengers. If the smell was making people vomit, in a closed tube with pressurized air, that is saying a lot.
I suspect that the seats in a wide radius around that person probably were empty, and people were huddling in the back and front of the plane with wet facecloths over their mouths and noses.
I feel sympathy for the guy, but...he should have never been on that plane like that, IMO.
