I’m still wading through 1791 photos @ the site and 90% are pro-conservative, 5% gross, 5% pro-commie.
I’d have thought Yelp could just take down the listing until they “cleaned” it up.

Heh...I would just accept it and wear the mantle of Yelp-Wrecker for Red Hen like a mantle!
I don’t find her physically attractive, but I admire her sand and gumption, and respect her greatly!

“In light of our tumultuous weekend, there are some points that I feel are imperative to clarify.
1. We have received numerous calls and messages asking if we serve Republicans. Of course we do! We believe strongly in feeding everyone, but we do not feed hate, violence, or deceit. If an individual threatens the well-being of our customers, staff, or the safe, welcoming, community space that we work so hard to nurture here, then that individual will be asked to leave.
2. I have long thought that food is a social medium, capable of bringing together people from diverse places and perspectives to join in fellowship and conversation. Sitting down together and building community sometimes requires a conscious decision to trust one another (until and unless given a compelling reason not to) and this is what I am challenging all of us to do. Sharing a place at the table gives us space to acknowledge our differences with kindness and recognition of our shared humanity.
3. The hateful speech, threats, and actions that have been perpetrated against our community are the sole responsibility of the perpetrators themselves. That burden does not belong to the staff or owners of The Red Hen. If you believe in personal reasponsibility as firmly as I do, then it is up to all of us to respond with integrity to this toxic outpouring and hold these individuals accountable for the harm that they deliberately inflict on our neighbors and community.
4. We continue to stand in support of The Red Hen because we support the rights of small businesses to protect their staff, customers, and the values that define those relationships.
Thank you to everyone who has (and no doubt will) reach out with comments and concerns. I look forward to participating with you in this on-going conversation.
