Really? Where? I’m reading the Harper’s as carefully as I read the NY Times during the WWII project. That is to say, not so carefully. That is changing as we get close to the Lincoln-Douglas show and the marvel of the century - the Atlantic cable. I am watching for indications that Lincoln is becoming a figure of national import. And I couldn’t help but notice that the Atlantic cable will become a media sensation, with several pages of each issue devoted to it.
I found it, in The Lounger. I’ll have to watch that feature. It is also where I found the first mention of the “Illinois canvas.” (In August, I think.)
