This is an awful story, there is a picture of the teen being dragged out of the bodega by the hood of his sweatshirt and then another with him being hacked with a machete. The owner of the bodega was there when the kid was being dragged out and did nothing.
By all accounts he was a good kid who wanted to become a NYC cop. These killers deserve a slow tortuous death and their gang needs to have the wrath of DHS and the NYC gang unit come down on them hard.
As for the bodega owner, people should shun his business and let him go bankrupt.

Yes, the bodega owner should have let himself be hacked to bits, too. Clearly.

Why? The owner of the bodega is not responsible for the wellbeing of everyone who visits his local store.
He might not have even known the kid and did not wish to engage in a fight between strangers.
This occurred in a place where if he HAD intervened with the proper tools, he would assuredly be in prison. He was in a tough spot.

Yeah that’s pretty messed up.

Maybe if the place had sane gun laws, the owner could have been in a position to help...or if the Dems/RINOs would let us deal with the animals as they need to be dealt with.....
