I think the treatments you went through are what my doctor mentioned to me the last time I had a Gastroscopy. So far my dysplasia is controlled, but he said if it ever does turn cancerous, that there are procedures they can do that have been very successful.
The one I got was more experimental but my doc is sort of the pioneer in it and her research says it's easier on the body, etc. She felt strongly that it would be better for me because of the length of the segment and I think she made up a study for me because the insurance wouldn't pay for "experimental" therapies. Literally, I think she created and got funding for a study just for me. So I was ridiculously lucky to get this done for free. I did get asked to allow like 20 doctors be in the room to observe when I got one of the procedures, most from south america and Europe no less. Crazy. How could I refuse? So I'm an internationally renowned medical oddity.
