I read on a different thread that this Wilkerson is a NY transplant. Brought her lib BS with her to a predominantly red area. Probably running from the high taxes that she wants everyone else to pay.
I don't know the significance, but another poster claims that she is also cousin to Maril(sp) Streep.

Yep. See
comment #21 in this other thread about the owner being a "liberal New York transplant" and
comment #23 about the source of food for the restaurant.
