They like to sit around talking about economic theory while sipping their white wine and nibbling caviar on toast points. But actually doing the messy work that would put those theories to the test? Oh heavens, no.
That might show the flaws in their meticulously designed house of cards.
As long as no one actually tries them out they remain theoretically beautiful.

True conservatism has always been beneath Georg Will's consideration and the election of Trump has unhinged the little old man. He'll be much happier at WAPO and/or CNN.
