a firebrand Glenn Becks multimedia empire TheBlaze appears to be on its last legs after another round of layoffs and after a prospective high-profile buyer lost interest.
The right-wing cable and digital media companyfounded by Beck shortly before he exited Fox News in 2011fired another round of staffers this week, shrinking a workforce that has already been reduced to less than 50 employees, according to two sources who spoke with The Daily Beast on the condition of anonymity. The two sources also confirmed that more than a dozen employees had been laid off over the past several days.

I think Beck was planning on funding from Facebook. All that BS about immigration was music to the ears of Facebook who initially wanted to take Trump down.
But Facebook and most other techie firms backed off from visible contention with Trump. Now the attacks are submerged, less obvious, more clandestine.
Too bad he missed the Hale-Bopp. But it will be back in 4,000 years. Get those tennis shoes on, Beck, and zipper up!
Well, he’s running after it, but it left the station so many months ago, he’ll never catch up to it.
He was in trouble way way before his bashing of Trump I believe you had tried to tell him not to go in over his head when he first started this adventure right?
Correct. I date Glenn’s collapse from the minute he moved to TX. Not that TX isn’t great, and financially the tax situation was better, and of course the situation for his family was better.
But Glenn went to TX with Joel Cheatwood in charge of his television programming. Since this would be the largest money-eater, it was essential that it offer new shows that had appeal.
Instead, we got Beck and Dana Loesch on camera doing their radio shows. That is not “alternative” programming. I have heard from a pretty good source that at the peak of his subscriptions, he was still well over 100,000 short from just breaking even. His studio was pretty modern, with two large beautiful sound stages . . . that were never used. He had a dozen dressing rooms . . . that were never used. In other words, he way over-bought for what his operation was putting out.
I’m also convinced-—intuition, no proof-—that David Barton had a malignant effect on everything Beck did.
A 52 year-old jet? Isn’t that something everyone wants?
He’s on board.
amen. he missed that boat 3 years ago. hope he is more humble now.
