Some day I’m going to finally sit down and try to watch one of those Left Behind movies. I think making it as a comedy was a smart move - assuming that was intentional.

They were very poorly done. The chaos and anarchy was almost nil after the rapture in those movies. Kirk Cameron still had A/C and electricity after it happened.
I imagine the grid going down, supermarkets cleaned out, gas stations empty, and neighbors rioting against each other for about 3-4 months until “order” is restored in a real scenario.
