If you’ve spent more than 10 minutes with a dog in your life, you KNOW they’re trying to communicate with you on a regular basis. When I’ve been gone for a few days, and I come back home, my Basset practically does back flips, she’s so happy to see me. She also tells me when she wants to go outside and when she thinks she deserves a treat. Belle is also my alarm clock. :)
Cats? They don’t give a rat’s rump about you, LOL!
(I’ve been owned by both, many times over!)
The single thing cats are smart about is that they adhere to this one rule:
It is better to keep your mouth shut and be thought an idiot than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.
Cats? They dont give a rats rump about you, LOL!
...
Which makes them superior.
Whilst I was reading your post my cat jumped up in the chair next to me for a belly rub and then some wrestling.
... and he’s back.
I don’t know about that — my cat won’t leave me alone! And when I finally let him get close enough to cuddle, he curls himself into the crook of my arm and purrs until he goes to sleep. He knows what time my car usually rolls into the driveway at night and he sits at the door and waits. When I leave in the morning he wails. I’d say he cares.
Some do. Sort of.
My 6-pound Tuxedo Cat is my alarm clock too. If standing on my chest meowing doesn't do it she swats me on the chin and meows louder.
I know that's really the "feed me!" order, but I keep deluding myself...
“Cats? They dont give a rats rump about you,”
I’ve had many. Just like all creatures, they’re all different. I had one who I referred to as an empath. She wouldn’t leave my side when I was sick, or recovering from surgery, etc.
One ai have now can sense when I’m sad. He’ll sit on my lap, stare into my eyes, and “pet” my cheek with his paw.
Some don’t care; that’s true.
