“Damned SJW bitches ruined the Kenobi film I actually wanted to see.”
Obi-Wan: The Missing Years.
Last Train to Tatooine.
I Am Curious Jedi.
Stop me before I pun again.
Please continue to flog the dead horse that is the Star Wars franchise. Flog it until people stop going to Disneyland and Disneyworld, or at least stop going to the Star Wars related portions of the park.
Flog it until you have to start laying off hundreds at ESPN and thousands at ABC.
Die, Disney, die!
You are beyond hope. The mantel of your early years has become so tattered that it can no longer cover the tawdriness of your recent content.
Considering the number of characters who got hands/arms lopped off, they should do a movie about a bunch of one-armed Jawas trying to operate their land tank.
Seroiusly; think of it as a space tragi-comedy.
Soy wars is over.
producer Kathleen Kennedy is the one who should be put on hold ...
What did they do to “Kenobi”?
#17 I bet Elvis Presley’s daughter Lisa Marie Presley could spend it all. I heard today she announced the $100 million dollars she got is all gone.
I saw it the other day as it as it about to fly out of theaters. Didn’t know it bombed.
Anyway to me, maybe a bit better than Rouge One (not including awesome Vader scene) but meh.
SPOILERS
It was entertaining enough but ultimately underwhelming in some areas. Basically a heist film set in the Star Wars universe, which is a neat idea but it was easily the least “Star Wars” feeling Star Wars film. I did enjoy seeing the lives of “regular people” in the Galaxy, Corellia looked like Robocop’s Detroit.
Emilla Clarke looked friggin gorgeous in her natural hair color but the “romance” subplot didn’t work. There’s no set up at all, she’s just a hot chick he’s with, then they get separated and it’s hard to care cause we’re 20 minutes in, getting back to her is supposedly his primary motivation, then he just runs into and it’s like the most anti-climactic thing ever and they kinda meander along till she splits. That’s pretty realistic I guess but it’s not very interesting.
I would have loved to see him bomb out of Imperial pilot training but no they skip over that. :/
Darth Maul has a cameo as a crime boss and talks more in one scene that he did in Episode One. I knew that they had him surviving getting chopped in half (with a robotic lower half, so no genitals, great life).
The dude playing Han, he was OK, charismatic, watchable. I know this is a young version but he really didn’t have any of that hard edge, he seemed like Han’s little brother. And him aiding the rebels at such an early stage undermines his story in the main trilogy.
The dude playing Lando, didn’t like him, no presence and they kinda made Lando out to be....I don’t know, a lot less cool than he should have been.
Lando called Han “baby” and I thought that was weird, then I read something about the producers saying Lando is “pansexual” and “there was something very fluid about Billy Dee Williams”. What da fooq? NO ONE read “faggot” off of Billy Dee’s Lando. NO ONE other than faggots wants Lando to be a faggot. He and his (female personality) droid perhaps being into each other, that was interesting, robosexual.
The droid was good comic relief, #droidlivesmatter
I don’t know if this is the extent of Han and Lando’s relationship before “Empire” cause if it is I’d call it a passing acquaintance. The cards game scenes lacked any kind of punch. Han doesn’t exactly save Chewie’s life so it’s not really clear when he stays with him instead of going with the other Wookies. The way they portrayed Chewie him staying with Han to be a smuggler makes little sense.
The Kessel run was pretty neat.
The standout was actually Woody Harrelson. The end with Han Shooting first was good.
She's already Behar the Butt! Leave Jabba alone.
Stopped liking Obi-Wan after his “Only a Sith deals in Absolutes” line, to be honest, plus, his justification for lying to Luke about Vader and his father was just bad, made him sound like a relativist/nihilist in addition to the whole Sith absolutes thing. As far as Boba Fett, well, that’s a darn shame, but probably for the best.
Disney really needs to get its act together, I blame this whole SJW nonsense that they’re pushing in its subsidiaries and even to a certain extent the actual Disney properties on Bob Iger. He really needs to be fired. In fact, to be honest, I’m surprised the shareholders HAVEN’T tried to pull a Michael Eisner on him right now especially when he has already managed to get three failures in a row (The Last Jedi, A Wrinkle in Time, and now Solo).
I heard the reason Lucas even made the sale in the first place was so he’d essentially buy his way out of the tax hikes that Obama was going to pull after 2012 by gutting the Bush era tax cuts, the same ones Lucas advocated getting rid of himself and stating that “corporations shouldn’t own government.”

Yeah, that definitely had me losing respect for Lucas there, followed by even more loss of respect when hearing some comments where he supported Occupy Wall Street of all things, not to mention learning he not only based the Ewoks on the Vietcong and the Empire on America with the clear intention of having his audience root for the VC in a form of trickery (already bad enough in itself), but he apparently based the Rebel Alliance on the VC as well, as early as 1973. Oh, and also his implication that Soviet filmmaking was better than American filmmaking because he can do whatever he wants so long as he doesn’t insult dear leader, and his implying that Robespierre’s France was better than King Louis XVI’s France or Napoleon’s France.
Yeah, all I can say to Lucas is, screw him, I have zero sympathy for his plight, and I still blame him for how Disney ruined Star Wars because of that deal. People might exonerate Lucas due to the crap Disney did to the franchise with Rebels, the Sequel Trilogy, and all of that (heck, the only good stuff Disney did with the franchise was that SCAR story in the Marvel Comics as well as Rogue One), but I won’t, knowing that he’s the reason Disney even is doing that stuff, having mediated the deal in the first place.
OK, Feminazis, time to put up or STFU: Make a Star Wars (or any other blockbuster) movie without ANY help from men, none, nada, zero......SHOW US how capable you are of doing it without ANY help. No gaffers, no lighting, no set-construction, no special-effects help from ANY men whatsoever....know what: You can’t....you aren’t capable....
I even have a 6 year of nephew who watched the Star Wars series on Cartoon Channel. He told me he got tired of it and tells me Clash of Clan online games had a better story LOL
Fire Kennedy. Restore confidence in the brand. Relaunch the brand.
Solo was a good movie. I have no interest in a Boba Fett movie, but would very much like a “what the heck was Obi Wan up to between the Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope” movie. Could be interesting.
They haven't done that. That's just been opinions only. No gay character has been written into any of the movies.
Well, that depends on whether you count Kasdan Jr. and Donald Glover’s comments on how Lando’s pansexual in Solo as making him gay. Honestly, it reeks of the whole “LeFou is now gay” thing that Bill Condon started with the 2017 remake of Beauty and the Beast.
I was done with Star Wars in 1979.
Let me guess, the Star Wars Holiday Special drove you away?
