Our finest scientists haven’t been able to create a single living cell. How can they have anything intelligent to say about any natural mechanism causing life?
There certainly are some major gaps in this (and other) areas of our understanding. We may never know how life arose from inanimate matter. Did it happen just once in a single location, then spread, or in many locations over a period of time?
Something really weird must be going on within the kooky realm of quantum physics. After all, that is the level at which these chemical processes take place.
