Five people were injured — including four teenagers — when they were attacked by pit bulls in the Bronx, police said.
The dog handlers, both 36, were walking the animals just before 10 p.m. Sunday near Pelham Parkway and Lurting Avenue in Morris Park when the dogs got loose, police sources said.
The pit bulls then went after a nearby group of eight people, attacking five of them.
The victims — all females, ages 12, 15, 16, 17 and 45 — suffered bites and cuts. They were taken to Jacobi Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
The dogs were taken to Animal Care Centers of New York.
The handlers, identified by police sources as Yoandra Espinosa and Adina Marinescu, were issued summonses.

Handlers for pit bulls used in illegal dog fights? I wonder if they're illegal aliens to boot.
At first it was reported that the dogs “broke loose”, but in the interview, one of the victims said that there were “no collars, no leashes”. In the video short of two pit bulls shown, appearing to be cell phone video, I saw no sign of leashes, but am uncertain regarding collars.
If that is the case and you think the girls did something then why would the cops have issued the summons to the dog handlers? Sorry, I just don’t buy into your thought process quite yet.

The girls appear to have multiple scratches, but do not appear to have anything that will scar badly. The mother is probably in worse shape, as she stepped in between the dogs and the girls.

He actually uses a nylon tent peg. Note: this will not work on any other breed of dog reliably, as the pit bull has been bred for the “hold and shake” bite. This is a short and fascinating video.
The City of Albuquerque at present has 292 dogs for adoption 60% of these dogs are Pit Bull and Pit Mixes, that easily 145 dogs. There aren’t 145 people living in Albuquerque who have the knowledge and the skills to give these 145 dogs the much vaunted training and strict handling that even the pit bull experts and apologizers admit such dogs need. So this dogs end up with people that do not have the skills required, now mulitply this plain fact by all the cities across the country and is there any wonder trouble ensues?
Don’t look for any pit bull apologizers to address this issue the merely like calling names not putting forth solutions.
Owners should be SUED for everything they have.

I forgot about that, thank you for reminding me. Now that I remember, Muslims consider dogs unclean, and the girls may have even more problems along that line.
If this bothers you so much, post them yourself. You'll be far less busy than those who post the stories about pit bull attacks.
