I just realized, Trump’s escalator announcement reminds me of the standard ‘Elevator Speech’.
An Elevator Speech is often taught to people want to start their own business. It is a brief commerical about who you are, what you plan to accomplish, or how you can benefit a company or organization.
An Elevator Speech is typically about 30 seconds; as long as it takes people to ride from the top to the bottom of a building in an elevator. The presumption is you will be speaking directly to decision makers.

In 2015 I was so fed up with ALL our scumbag politicians that for the first time in more than 50 years I had resolved to not participate in the national farce we call elections.
Then Mr. Trump came down that escalator and for only the second time in my life I saw someone I could actually vote for.
Ironically, his Presidency has served to reaffirm my opinion of our politicians.
