Good for him. He should get a lawyer and remind people that a million is the new 100,000 now.

One wonders how much he would have had over 2 decades had he put the same money in a outperforming stock fund, like Vanguard.

Tran plans to pay off his house and surround it with razor wire, punji stakes, and tiger pits ...

Well ... he should, anyway.

Doesn’t matter that he played the same numbers or not - fact is, there are probably millions of other people playing the lottery for the 18 years that have and will only lose.

Lottery is a tax on stupidity.

And it’s completely voluntary.............

The Lottery.
Another tax on the poor & middle class that our lousy/crooked politicians supposedly love.

To me this begs the Paul Harvey "Rest of the Story" reporting.

I am happy for the fellow but I more marvel at his amazing persistent. I would like to know how many times and for what amount had he won over those 18 years.

True story - my great uncle played the same numbers for many years, they were picked by my great aunt. After she died he kept playing the same numbers for years then stopped. One night he had a dream, she was telling him to play her numbers. He did the next day and won something like 47 million. This was way back I’m guessing 93 or 94.

I’m surprised they didn’t add the zeroes for cents, just for effect.
