Domino's filling potholes to avoid damage to pizza

Domino's announced it is partnering with U.S. cities to fill potholes and stamp them with the company's logo to avoid letting "bad potholes ruin good pizza."

The pizzeria chain, based in Ann Arbor, Mich., announced it is partnering with cities across the country to repair potholes and is seeking recommendations from customers for more cities.

Domino's said the "Paving for Pizza" campaign is already under way in Athens, Ga.; Bartonville, Tex.; Burbank, Calif.; and Milford, Del.

"Potholes, cracks and bumps in the road can cause irreversible damage to your pizza during the drive home from Domino's," the pizzeria said in a news release.

Photos shared by Domino's show the company's logo stamped on the former potholes, along with the message: "Oh yes we did!"

The company's website calls on customers to nominate their areas to be the next to receive pothole assistance.

I’m seeing a law suit in their future. Of course, the company will pass on all the expense to their customers.

I read that...and I’m still trying to figure out how a pothole can *damage* a pizza....hummmm.

More than likely, it’s the publicity gained from it, especially if they stencil their name and logo on every patch (could be photoshopped, however).

But, all’s well that ends well.

This is cool for Dominos.

Are you kidding??? They way they have been patching the pot holes here in Macomb County for the past 6 months, this will be a PR disaster for Dominos......

Whoever thought this up should or will be fired............

Pot holes are so bad not even the dead want to be buried in them.........

Not entirely. They’re just fine from the Texas border til you get to the casino!

This idea might have a domino effect. Businesses adopting potholes, that is.
