I think the contestants had resorted to showing too much. the evening gowns and swimsuits were becoming pornographic. they should lay down some rules as to how much can be show. Keep it within reason and continue as they had before.

Actually, not even Gretchen Carlson killed it, if anything, Robin Morgan did with the 1968 Boardwalk protest that was staged right at the same day, at the same area in fact, as the crowning of 1968’s pageant winner. I think you might remember that one: It’s where they had “freedom trash cans” to dump female items into due to being “instruments of oppression” or some crap like that, or better yet, how they implied the whole thing was a cattle auction by crowning a sheep Miss America (and by that, I of course mean an actual, literal, live sheep). Jeez, and I thought Caligula was insane for making a horse his consul.
