A caller into the Laura Ingraham radio program this week, suggested that since the pageant was not longer about beauty or looks, they should just broadcast the pageant on the radio.

LOL in the car when I heard that one.

Gretchen Carlson just killed this American icon, the Miss America Beauty Pageant.

No one will care to tune in to hear a bunch of young, mush-for-brains girls spout their immature drivel.

Reminds me of the contestant who was asked to describe her favorite "date".

She replied that April 10th was her favorite date. Not too hot. Not too cold.

She did look cute in that swimsuit though. :-)

This crap is to pave the way for men competing, provided they have lopped off that pesky schmeckel and are calling themselves women.

Used to as an adolescent as it was one of the few opportunities to view hot, scantily clad women in a three channel universe. Have not watched one since.

What seems odd about the decision to eliminate physical beauty from the pageant is that Miss America Inc. still will be drawing its contestants from the 50 state pageants which, the last anyone has heard, still focus on beauty, swimsuits and evening gowns. And, of course, the state pageants draw theirs from the various regional in-state pageants. So how meaningful is this move? Of course, it will still be interesting to see how many former (and still, though physically mutilated) men will be entering the contests now.

Yep. Won’t be long. Yet, looking a some of the photos of the pageant, it appears that all the contestants look pretty much the same physically, with the only variations being hair color and ethnicity. Stick figures without any outstanding curves.

Yep, except I think you can strike peggy noonan from the “ours” category. She hasn’t shown much desire to be ours since the beautiful Sarah Palin was condemned to be mccain’s running mate.

For 100 years they program men to look at their boobs and butts. Then they get angry when we do.

Now,they want us to stop looking at their butts and boobs and listen to what they have to say.

That’s fine. I wonder how long it will take to go back to looking at them.

I was wondering, do men have anything like this? Where they are paraded around and people get to literally judge them?
