First off, 2 Peter 3:8 does not mean God can’t tell time.

I think it's a conceit for us to assume that God tells time the same way we do. It's like assuming he's groggy every morning until he gets his first cup of coffee. Our experience of the universe is not his experience of it. To one who is timeless and immortal, what is time? It's important to us because we're mere fleas that will die and so time is an important measure of our lives. To project that to heaven and assume God carries a clock around doesn't make sense to me.

When God interacts with us the way we understand time, he does so in ways and terms that we understand. When He says day, he uses a term we can understand.

He doesnt use time terms we don’t understand when speaking of creation events. That obviously would not be helpful and only create confusion. Further he would not use the same terms but put vastly different meanings behind them without explicit explanation that was exactly what he was doing, otherwie it would cause confuuon and uncertainty.

I think it's a conceit for us to assume that God tells time the same way we do.

God communicated the fact that He created the Earth in six days. He was talking to His creation, so He would use the same terms we use.

Stop trying to ignore what He clearly said, and just accept it.

Was He incompetent in telling Moses how much time it took Him? As you even stated, God has a better understanding of time than even we do. If He meant millions of years, He would have told Moses as such.

Your idea makes it seem like we are capable of something God is not capable of doing. I for one believe God could tell you exactly what you were doing and thinking, 5 weeks ago at 1:34pm... without a clock. He is going to judge us one day, for all our deeds.
