Funny, I put a flag counter on my FR home page. I get a few hits a week from a US Anonymous Proxy Server. More hits than from many states. If I post a 'deep State article the rate goes way up. Come and get me coppers!

It will make this a lot easier:

[sigh]
Why?
Why would a Republican administration want to create another government resource that could be weaponized by the next Obama / Hillary?
A real dumb idea if you ask me

It would be more helpful if they would list the CIA operatives that work in the mainstream news media.

The Deep State is still in control. Eight years will not be enough time to clear out these power hungry elitists.

A republican administration? You mean like Bush II and his republican congress creating PATRIOT and DHS? Long past time for us all to realize the Republican party is a globalist enemy of freedom.

If the last two years have shown me anything, it is that a president does not have control of the surveillance culture, unless he is on the side of surveillance..

So, Would they consider Free Republic a blog, or social media, or people who post information here to be journalists?
If some of us write convincing replies on some topic, are we ‘social media influencers’?
If someone has more than a few family members and close friends as followers on Facebook or Twitter, Is DHS going to monitor and investigate them?
What national security needs are being met by this, as compared to say, monitoring Jihadist websites and social media communications?
