My wife is a lifetime teetotaler (and thus my designated driver) and we have probably been to 1,000 pubs around the world during our 30 year plus marriage. Just last night, we went to a pub where I had a grass-fed burger and two tall glasses of pilsner while the wife had a chicken sandwich and iced tea.

One of our favorite things to do is go to a billiards hall and shoot some pool or darts. I drink enough beer for the both of us so the waitstaff aren't shortchanged on tips.

I'm just saying that you don't have to drink alcohol to hang out in a pub or a bar.
