Roseanne Barr should blame Trump most of all | Eugene Robinson

President Donald Trump wants to create a safe public space for ugly, unvarnished, unambiguous racism, which he knows he can exploit for political advantage. This cynical and destructive ploy must not be allowed to succeed.

But since Tuesday, there has been not a word of censure for Barr's vile "joke" portraying Valerie Jarrett, a top adviser to President Barack Obama, as the result if "muslim brotherhood & planet of the apes had a baby."

Disney pulled the plug on 'Roseanne.' It's on the rest of us to pull the plug on racism Disney pulled the plug on 'Roseanne.' It's on the rest of us to pull the plug on racism

What Roseanne Barr said wasn't funny. It wasn't a joke. And it wasn't the first time, either.

Trump has had nothing to say, pro or con, about ABC's decision to cancel Barr's revived sitcom. Rather, he has twice complained that while Robert Iger, chairman of ABC's corporate parent, Disney, promptly called Jarrett to apologize, Iger has never called Trump with an apology for things said about him by others associated with ABC. "You and ABC have offended millions of people, and they demand a response. . . . Double Standard!" Trump said Thursday in a tweet to Iger.

Donald J. Trump ✔ @realDonaldTrump Iger, where is my call of apology? You and ABC have offended millions of people, and they demand a response. How is Brian Ross doing? He tanked the market with an ABC lie, yet no apology. Double Standard!

You can see Trump's narcissism at work there, but also his calculation.

This blame game is called blame-shifting. It is a common psychological trick Narcissists and other toxic, emotionally immature people use to abuse victims. It has become a weapon of the Marxists (along with the Alinsky Method) to intimidate their victims.

The Planet of the Apes was a metaphore for primitive humans in tribal society. It was the naked savage which has been a romantic theme in literature for years. Mary Shelly's Frankenstein was another naked savage of the Romance genre. It is Tribalism that is the Holy Grail of the Left. Call it the union of the stooges, the useful idiots and the fellow travelers. I, myself, call them the naked savages they are: DemonRATS.

Marxism believes in the collective and the individual is subservient to the collective. Marxism is derived from the ancient social systems of Tribalism. Tribalism from the beginning was cooperation of the collective. It was a mindless obedience needed for the harsh threats of the environment. Primitive man's archetypal mindset was conditioned to route collectivism. This was the original mode of human beings in man's early socialization stages. Marxism emerged as a reaction to the the new revolution of Liberty and the emancipation of the individual. It wanted the status quo of the Tribal system, where human beings were dominated by the tyranny of the chief and the dominant ruling class.

You are one demented fool. Yes there is racism. Being in ani-racial marriage I’ve seen it from multiple angles. All races have racists, every adult discriminates. Discrimination is needed to healthily survive. However poorly discriminated discrimination is bad for personal and societal health. I recommend you expand your area of observation. Due to ignorance racial discrimination will always exists. We need to educate not indoctrinate individuals about the racial environment and work to improve it.

Now if Roseanne had substituted “muslim brotherhood & planet of the apes had a baby” for “muslim brotherhood and Eugene Robinson had a baby” no one would have thought anything of it.

“President Donald Trump wants to create a safe public space for ugly, unvarnished, unambiguous racism, which he knows he can exploit for political advantage.”

He says while Trump is busy declaring June to be African-American Music Appreciation Month. How exactly is Trump promoting “public, ugly, unvarnished, unambiguous racism”?

Eugene needs to be locked up for his own protection.

Yes, You Jean, the racissst, who never utters a word that isn’t about race (that, btw, is the definition of a racist — someone whose preponderance of thought begins and ends with racial obsession). He is oh so soft-spoken and effeminate.

Me, I only think about race when one of these race-baiters gets in my face. And this one, along with J. Capehart, sits at the top of the African-Afairycan heap.

What else did Roseanne tweet or say that was racist? Also, he downplays the importance of Jarret. Wonder if Barr was trying to make Jarret important enough for people to pay attention to her crimes.
