I JUST TALKED TO POLICE WITHIN THE LAST HALF HOUR. THEY SAY THE GIRL ATTACKED BY THIS DOG IS IN STABLE CONDITION, WAS TAKEN TO CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL. THIS HAPPENED RIGHT BEFORE 3:00 THIS AFTERNOON IN THE CITY. POLICE TELL US THAT A 15-YEAR-OLD GIRL WAS VISITING A 17-YEAR-OLD FRIEND WHEN THE GIRL ARRIVED THE DOG SOMEHOW GOT OUT OF THE HOUSE AND ATTACKED THAT 15-YEAR-OLD GIRL. NOT LONG AFTER POLICE SAY A NEIGHBOR HEARD SCREAMS AS THAT DOG'S OWNER WAS YELLING TO TRY TO GET THE DOG OFF OF THE GIRL. THAT'S WHEN POLICE SAY A NEIGHBOR STEPPED OUT OF THE HOUSE AND SHOT THE DOG, KILLING THE DOG

People with these dogs should get mandatory 5 years if the dog attacks anyone, life if they kill someone. Like the neighbor, a dog growls and appears to ready an attack on my kids, it will be dead without hesitation and I will then sue the owner for putting us in that situation.
And hero neighbor with gun to kill the dog.
Let me guess the breed: Golden retriever.
It is the responsibility of dog owners to keep their dogs off of other people.
Pit bull owners are ready on their haunches to spring into claims that it was a weenie dog.

I’d say “Cue the apologists!” But they’re pretty mean. Following last week’s fatal attack one compared me to a laxative. After Tuesday’s fatal attack another one lectured me from his high horse. It’s late. Let’s just allow the apologists sleep, rather than waking them by expressing the view that this vile breed of killers ought to be wiped off the face of the earth.

When I moved to the south I saw more people with scarred up arms or scarred up faces. Didn’t take long to figure out why.
While I’m not necessarily in favor of wiping out an entire breed of dog, these dogs in particular NEED to be regulated as strictly as firearms - with a mandatory registration, yearly renewal, owner responsible for all associated fees, $1,000,000 liability insurance and absolutely NO CRIMINAL BACKGROUND for owners.
Jack Russell would be my guess. I have two, and they are baad m***********s!
Goldens would lick you to death at worst.
Labs would probably beat you to death with their tail.
I don’t see too many reports of that happening with either breed.
I like the shooting part....good citizen....
