At least she didn't put a grade on the letter.
That might be the nicest thing to be said about a recently retired South Carolina high school teacher's response to a form letter she received from the White House and signed by President Donald Trump.
"I have never, ever, received a letter with this many silly mistakes," Yvonne Mason said, greenvilleonline.com reported.
So what was the response of the educator who retired after 17 years of teaching English at Hughes Middle School and Mauldin High School in Greenville County?
The 61-year-old, who retired in 2017, corrected the mistakes by marking up the letter. Mason shared her edits on Facebook with the pledge that she was sending it to the White House.
Among the many comments Mason wrote on the letter were:
▪ "Have y'all tried grammar & style check?"
▪ "Not parts of proper noun construction"
▪ "OMG this is WRONG!"
The letter from the White House, with Trump's signature, was a response to Mason. The Democrat, who now lives in Atlanta, wrote to Trump asking him to visit the families of the 17 people killed in the school shooting in Parkland, Fla., The New York Times reported.
The response Mason received focused on what the president has done in the aftermath of the shooting.
"It didn't address the letter I wrote," Mason said to greenvilleonline.com.
There is no word if Mason's critique was received, as the White House has not commented on the issue. She has not posted about any further feedback from Trump.
What Mason is clear about is her dismay with the overuse of the "I" in Trump's letter. The retired teacher highlighted "I" five times in her markup.
And if she was going to give the president's letter a grade, what would it be? That depends: Is Trump writing at a middle school or high school level?
"If it had been written in middle school, I'd give it a C or C-plus," Mason told greenvillenews.com. "If it had been written in high school, I'd give it a D."
“It was a poorly worded missive,” Mason said, according to The New York Times. “Poor writing is not something I abide. If someone is capable of doing better, then they should do better.”
Where was she when obammer said he had visited 54 states and had several left to go? Or when he said things like:
“R-S-P-E-C-T.” (trying to quote franklin’s song)
“And finally, Bos, I just want to say thank you for Youkilis.” (after boston traded him to Chicago)
“Even though most people agree... I’m presenting a fair deal, the fact that they don’t take it means that I should somehow do a Jedi mind-meld with these folks and convince them to do what’s right.” (mixing up star trek and star wars)
“When I meet with world leaders, what’s striking — whether it’s in Europe or here in Asia...” (As he spoke to Hawaiians)
“We’re the country that built the Intercontinental Railroad.”
“We’re not trying to push financial reform because we begrudge success that’s fairly earned. I mean, I do think at a certain point you’ve made enough money. But, you know, part of the American way is, you know, you can just keep on making it if you’re providing a good product or providing good service. We don’t want people to stop, ah, fulfilling the core responsibilities of the financial system to help grow our economy.”

Yup- and there’s plenty more folks- but you’d never know it because the media keeps it quiet- but if it had been President Bush saying any one of these things, he’d have been hounded for years)
The federal government has a website that teaches immigrants how to sign up for welfare programs once they arrive in the United States.

and just for the record- the left excoriated trump for supposedly flailing his arms when talking about a disabled person but said absolutely nothing when obammer said the following:

Does she not know that Trump did not write the letter? They have folks at the White House who write such letters and they even have a stamp for Trump’s signature. I am sure you could look at any letter like this from any president and find or nit pick the same types of small mistakes.

i do not put a lot of credit in a teacher that starts her “corrections” with y’all...
and most of her “corrections” are not necessary for a communique like this one.
That abreviation is insensitive to atheists and Jews and Christians alike

I’ve heard them argue with one another on the ‘right way’ vs the ‘wrong way’...leading me to believe that - beyond the basics - maybe it depends on what the writer wants to convey.
Also, when I was in college, my business English course stressed less punctuation, as we were not writing a novel.
Dang! When did we do that? I missed it!......................

Seems her English knowledge is severely lacking.
Her statement should be written as, “OMG! This is wrong!”
