Scott Adams releases several talks throughout each day. I try to watch most of them.
Today he posits that the company that manufactures Ambien has made a massive mistake by issuing a statement that "Ambien does not cause racism". He contends that Ambien does cause people to do things they otherwise would not do.
And that the drug. is classified as a "hypnotic".
His take is that Roseanne may well have taken the drug and tweeted under its influence.
He also feels that the drug company may well open themselves up to problems by saying that their drug does not cause "racism"...

I would never take anything like Ambien. The side effects, the potential for dependence, all of that just isn’t worth it. I tried Melotonin for a brief period because it’s natural; but it didn’t really do what it was supposed to and it gave me some “digestive issues” (if you know what I mean). So, nope, nothing for me, thank you.
Best thing before going to sleep is a quiet hour in bed with a good book.
They are just virtue signaling. Were a good bunch of Democrats up in here.
Took it off and on for 10 years to help sleep. Never had any issues at all.
Here is your chance to fire back at Ambien’s maker!
The first and only time I had a sleep-walking incident was under the influence of Ambien.
I’ve since removed it from my prescription rotation.
Melatonin, FTW.
Can Barr claim that she needs to occasionally take the sleeping pill to fall asleep after an evening of studying a script? I know that my mind races if I've been too stimulated doing memory-intensive work before going to bed, how about her?
Memorizing a new script each week seems like a tough thing to do, and a little night relief might not be out of the question.
I'm just saying...

I try to be careful what drugs I take. If a drug has a big change of addiction,I try to control it.
Americans are known fir their use of drugs. It’s not something I’m proud of.
But she is being crucified. Why?
Good old prescription xanax works, without making you an irrational nutcase, if you have a doctor who’s brave enough to prescribe it. (Naturally, with the assumption you take as prescribed, and don’t use it recreationally).
I take Melatonin too.
I used to think you were supposed to take it at night when you went to sleep. No.
I take it daily with the rest of my vitamins ... and I sleep well every night.
Americans have been fooled into believing that the solution to all of their problems can be found in a plastic orange container with a white top.
Frankly, I think the medical profession has lead us down this road.
I think the Liberal @$$holes who made that comment while working for this pharmaceutical company have just got their company bitten in the @$$.
Trying to be funny just steels people's resolve to see them get some comeuppance.
There is one thing you need to watch if you are taking melatonin on a regular basis. Your body naturally produces melatonin. Regular use of melatonin may reduce your body’s ability to produce it. In that case the safe use would be if your sleep cycle is disrupted. Otherwise, safe sleep aids would be valerian root, GABA, and l-tryptophan. The latter is now allowed on the market again. It was banned when a manufacturer in Asia produced a tainted batch that had d-tryptophan. Any amino acid that is d- is typically not bioavailable, and some cases toxic. The difference between l- and d- is the geometry of the amino acid molecule.
Turkey has a good amount of l-tryptophan. Thus one comment by John Madden about “Trip the fan” at one Thanksgiving Day football game since a lot of fans watching the game may have eaten a lot of turkey and got sleepy. I believe it was the same game where they brought out the eight legged turkey.
And an understandable mistake at that if what she claims is true about the Ambien - no reason to doubt her.
If she had driven off a bridge and left someone to drown they would be clamoring to have run her for the senate.
“Best thing before going to sleep is a quiet hour in bed with a good book.”
Well, if you can’t exhaust yourself by making love to a beautiful woman, I guess :)
I remember a few years back a guy here on FR posted several times around midnight and they were weird, gibberish posts. people kept trying to talk to him and it was non sensical.
he came back in the am and said it was the ambien.
I’ve never watched Rosanne’s show, either the old or the new one. But, given the really terrible things that a host of talking heads on CNN, MSNBC, ABC, NBC, and CBS has had to say about Trump, she is, indeed, the victim of a double standard. I’m sure Disney was looking for any reason to get rid of her, and now they found one.
I took it once in the hospital. Not a good timr at all. Never again.
