Scott Adams releases several talks throughout each day. I try to watch most of them.
Today he posits that the company that manufactures Ambien has made a massive mistake by issuing a statement that "Ambien does not cause racism". He contends that Ambien does cause people to do things they otherwise would not do.
And that the drug. is classified as a "hypnotic".
His take is that Roseanne may well have taken the drug and tweeted under its influence.
He also feels that the drug company may well open themselves up to problems by saying that their drug does not cause "racism"...

There are reasons I do not take Ambien. And there are reasons I don’t have Twitter account.
That excuse works for a Kennedy.
I found Twitter boring.
Can she say that she had an unexpected reaction to a properly prescribed and FDA approved medication, and therefore it was wrong for ABC to cancel her show and fire the entire staff over a bad reaction to a prescription drug?

She made a mistake and apologized.
I am not a Rosanne fan. I don’t even have a TV.
But I have heard enough hellish stories about the effects of Ambient to have a little empathy.
Good thought.
I have never had that kind of issue with Ambien, but then again, I only take it a couple of times a week.
So, I have never had those issues.
Er...have I?
Celebrities should have an inviolable rule: some person of trusted good judgement looks over all internet postings before hitting submit.
On what basis does a pharmaceutical company say that their product Ambien does not cause racial thoughts? Has a clinical study been done with proper control group, etc.? Since Ambien is thought to sometimes cause suicidal thoughts, why is it unreasonable to think it might cause other behavioral modifications?
I think it important to note that the drug manufacturer actually PUBLICLY WEIGHED IN ON THIS story.
They have injected themselves into it.
If I were her [and I’m not a fan], I would go after them prove that people DO THINGS OUT OF CHARACTER while under the influence of Ambien.
My best friend used to take Ambien. She finally had to stop because it was making her do and say weird things. That stuff is nasty. I used to take OTC sleep aids but finally stopped.
I am a Rosanne fan.
But I think she is being crucified for being a Trump supporter.
I meant to say: I am NOT A ROSANNE FAN.
Maybe Roseann Barr should sue ABC for wrongful termination violations of the ADA act?
Can she say that she had an unexpected reaction to a properly prescribed and FDA approved medication, and therefore it was wrong for ABC to cancel her show and fire the entire staff over a bad reaction to a prescription drug?
...
That’s what I’m thinking, but I don’t see how the ADA would apply.
In any case the punishment doesn’t fit the crime.
I witnessed side-effects of sleepwalking and hallucinations in my dad and had to take him off of it.
He was a veteran of two wars and I never heard him complain of nightmares until he took Ambien.
And he did things while sleepwalking that he didn’t remember the next day.
Here is a short bio of a former Obama appointee who is an Ex VP for Sanofi now: He served as a special adviser to the Clinton Foundation and worked extensively with global NGOs, as well as major groups like USAID. And then, in 2010, President Obama appointed him to be an Assistant Commerce Secretary in his administration. Kumar was unanimously confirmed to the position and a concurrent role as Director General of the U.S. and Foreign Commercial Service, tasked with overseeing major global trade pushes for the White House. (IOW, he is a proponent of the Transpacific Partnership too)
These Obama/Clinton/Democrap ticks are all over the place buried in obscure positions but ready to strike at any opposition to the party line.
