A lot of conservatives live by a ‘involving the police can only make it worse’ philosophy, though I surmise their thinking is a lot different than that of these people.
“A lot of conservatives live by a involving the police can only make it worse philosophy, though I surmise their thinking is a lot different than that of these people.”
Not so much the police, but feds, yes.
It actually wouldn’t be a bad experiment if undertaken by serious people rather than these idiots.
I don’t think we should take it at all for granted that instituting full-time, armed, uniformed police forces is necessarily the best way to enforce the law and maintain public order and safety in a free society. The Founding Fathers would probably be aghast at modern police forces—they certainly look a lot like standing armies, which most early bills of rights described as “dangerous to liberty” and provided that they “ought not to be kept up,” particularly when they are used to enforce civil order during peacetime.
In Democrat-dominated cities the city government and their police all too frequently hold the Constitution in contempt and they consider it an impediment to their goals.
While I am in no way endorsing this church I can say that I can understand how they could get to this point.
There’s just too many documented instances of urban crime victims calling the police only to themselves be arrested, beaten, or killed by the police.
The lady who was shot and killed in Milwaukee after calling the police last year comes to mind as a perfect example.
My wife watches the Live PD show on A&E and we both note that in many cases the police are called after a crime has been committed which is the norm, however in many cases the victims know the person who assaulted them and yet won’t tell the cops. My thought is why bother the cops if you don’t want them to apprehend the attacker?
I suspect the church will quickly change their minds at some point when they realize their mistake. The saying of a thin blue line is true and they just told the line to take a hike. Can do, see how it works out for you rev.
