PORTLAND, Ore. - A man was stabbed 17 times and left for dead by a homeless man trying to camp in the mans neighborhood, his daughter said.
Kasey Lebechuck approached Todd Schneider, 25, Sunday and told Schneider he was camping in a restricted area. Schneider said he needed his phone and instead grabbed a knife from his backpack, according to KPTV.
He is lucky to be alive. He was stabbed 17 times, so I mean he got him everywhere. Lungs, eyes, his stomach, his back, his head, his daughter Kayla McNeel told KPTV. He said that he just kept trying to get up, and the guy just wouldnt let him get off the ground.
Lebechuck was able to get to a neighbors house and the neighbor called 911.

That’s why you pay taxes for the police, Einstein.
too bad he wasn’t carrying a gun. Lucky that his daughter didn’t end up duct-taped in a tent down by the river.
As er-ick swallowell might say, “bums”.
The homeowner clearly didn’t show enough compassion.
“Homeless” are often that way for a reason. Think about relatives and people you know. How bad would they have to be, for you to have them sleep in the street rather than offering your couch?
Always assume that a homeless person is on drugs, and may become violent for no reason at all. Best to let the cops deal with them, if possible.
She’ll get sued for being a profiler. Bums are people too, ya’ know!
Thank goodness for arctic cold winters.
Been going down to Portland regularly since about 2004.
It’s been getting exponentially worse and probably won’t be going there much in future.
Schneider needs to be dealt with harshly.
If you want to play deputy dawg, ya better be packing’......
I agree.
In San Jose, they won’t do anything. They are everywhere.
Reason # 39995 why people do not want homeless vagrants moving into their towns and allowed to stay.
What could have happened to this 25 y/o guy to make him act like some troglodyte newly escaped from a darkened cave?
Last time I checked San Jose was a high income demographic.
The bad news is, you are not going to have to worry about making any decisions.
Obviously we need to raise taxes and build more housing for those poor people......./s
I see the police were right there on the spot to protect him from the criminal- oh wait- nope-
My daughter is doing an internship there (south of the city). We were looking for some stuff for her (3 month rental) apartment so we spent a day searching garage sales.
We hit an estate sale in the Hollywood district. Super nice and very old homes--quaint not at all fancy. Just out of curiosity I grabbed a flyer out of one of them that was for sale. A million bucks.
And.... you drove a block and you were sharing oxygen it with guys like this.
