I think it is a variety of things.

Waiting for school to be out and the holiday weekend to be over. Less opportunity for FF events.

I also think the WH didn’t take all that much time off this weekend and are getting the ducks lined up in nice neat little rows to shot down in the coming weeks. Since most in DC already know what is in the IG reports, it matters little if we see them at this time. (I REALLY want to see them tho)

This may well have been the final calm before the big storm, least I hope so.
