I thought Q-tips were the secret rarified bits of intel passed along to the shadowy, cutting edge geniuses here on FR??
A bit off topic, and this is Canadian, not EU, but a funny skit about fancy drinks nonetheless:

EU would be better off banning Muslims.
“I always throw my q tips in the ocean. Dont you?”..
I’d try but the ocean is over 1000 miles from here. I don’t have a good enough throwing arm for that distance.
“....a stick that is designed to hold a balloon”...
They ban the stick but never mentioned the balloon. What?
If they could get around to banning rapes, pedophile gangs, acid throwers, knife wielding assailants, and truck bombs....that would be great.
FIRST the stick, then the balloon.
Part of the ‘Master Plan’.
Render something (someone) useless, ban its props, then you can ban it - the real target.
Instead of banning such products, how about a ban on cities dumping their garbage in the ocean.
It’s very true. See links:

Some people really need those.
I should think they’d be fine as long as the sticks were made of paper.
Alternatives?
Those alternatives must be ‘sustainable’. {’sustainable’/’sustainability’ — their new hot-button trigger word.}
Does that mean a return to — PAPER??????
Or is everyone going to have to carry around a collection of metal instruments — stirrers, sporks, etc.?
==
If Libs had more than cursory intelligence, they could have foreseen the unintended consequences a few decades ago when they were decrying the use of paper products.
For every Lib solution, there are multitudes of resulting new problems.
There are certainly those who want to do that and force cloth diapers on everyone.
Jawohl!
The bit that they don’t tell you is that this is just a start of things banned.
It seems they are not smart enough to develop UV degradable plastics. Salt water degradable plastics?
With knives outlawed in places and now plastic cutlery are they now mandated to eat with their fingers. Some people will have to start washing their left hand.
Realistically one does get tired of seeing soiled disposable diapers thrown out along highways and freeways.
Yikes, we don’t want Hellary without a good supply of Depends.
yep. i drive out there to make sure they’re all in a plastic container, too. so evil gas use and plastic to boot.
Well, that’s one problem. Replace them in a forced manner with cloth diapers and you’ll get cloth diapers dumped in the same manner, not solving that problem.
