As noted here last week, the adjustment to the national anthem policy should remove any impediment to the employment of quarterback Colin Kaepernick and safety Eric Reid, since neither will be able to kneel during the national anthem. Some players reportedly have come to the same conclusion.
Shaun King, an independent reporter who has had several anthem-related stories in recent months, contends that [s]everal NFL stars have told me they are considering sitting out the season until the de facto ban of Eric Reid and Colin Kaepernick is removed and both men are given spots back on rosters.

Didn’t see this in the replies:
What’s an NFL?
Well, all NFL players and cheerleaders ought to get the same salary because they are Social Justice Warriors and believe in social justice.
I for one don’t care if every player on every team chooses to sit out for the entire season. Go ahead you progressive morons, kill the goose that laid your golden egg.
If the players do something like this then its Bye Bye NFL, unless Goodall and the owners do the right thing and ban the offending players from the league for life. If the owners approved that kind of action, the American people would rally round the NFL and it would quickly get back the audience it lost over the couple of years, and then some and damn the lawsuits that will be filed by the scumbag players.
Several years ago Rush Limbaugh predicted the demise of the NFL because Roger Goodall and the progressives that run the league decided to feminize the league to make it less rough and violent so more women would turn in, and of course that started the NFL’s downfall. Then they decided to use the NFL as a platform to fight for social justice. And what we’re seeing now is what we see after any organization is infiltrated by progressives; they destroy it. The one thing progressives love to do is to destroy or tear down anything the American people love, the NFL is but the latest example.
Don’t care at all what you do or do not do, because I do not watch you any longer.
Kaepernick has been out of the game for so long, he probably close to needing a walker just to get around ... not to mention he was a quite-below-average, losing quarterback when he left the game ...
NBC - “Shaun King and unnamed sources?....sounds reliable, let’s run with it.”
There are literally a million people who want these jobs.
There are thousands that are equally qualified.
Go ahead, sit out. There is literally a crowd that wants to replace you. And even if they agree with you, they’ll shut up for the paycheck.
Note that it is fair to fire them for violating NFL policies, since conservatives have to shut up or get fired in Silicon Valley and refused service by liberal establishments.
If liberals can make ideological compliance a condition of the job or service, so can everyone else.
It is unfair for liberals to say they can discriminate but no one else can.
People showed their reaction last season, with attendance and ratings drops.
If the players do more protests, the public revulsion will continue.
I’ve heard they might do the black glove fist in the air salute during the anthem instead. So then they haven’t violated the rule against kneeling during the anthem.
There are plenty of qualified replacements close by and ready to step in — one example is the following:
“Johnathan Paul Manziel is an American professional Canadian football quarterback for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats of the Canadian Football League”
In fact, maybe they will have TV games of the CFL - at least we can watch competition by players who love the game.
Kaepernick is a horrible player so why give him a job. He started to kneel and his playing stunk. He should be history.
Who is Eric Reid?
Bye...there are others who would like to play. Remember the last strike you had...the owners got some players...
The anti-American nfl literally HATES our country and HATES the nfl's now former fan base. All they really care about is your money, that's it!
The nfl is dead, they strangled it to death with their own PC PINK, black racist, "only black lives matter", SJW hands and there is no coming back, EVER!
It’s actually refreshing to see a player protesting his contract instead of America.

Trump swayed NFL owners on anthem rules, Kaepernick case depositions reveal!
The Wall Street Journal obtained depositions from NFL owners, including Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, as part of a grievance case filed by former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick.
According to Jones deposition, reviewed by the Journal, the president personally told him, You cant win this one.
This is a very winning, strong issue for me, Trump reportedly said in a call with Jones. Tell everybody, you cant win this one. This one lifts me.
The feud between the White House and the NFL began in September 2017, when during a rally, the president suggested that if a player knelt or refused to stand for the anthem, the owner should get that son of a b—— off the field.
Miami Dolphins owner Stephen Ross reportedly said in his deposition that he thought Trump changed the dialogue.
I was totally supportive of [the players] until Trump made his statement, Ross reportedly said.
Owner of the Houston Texans Bob McNair said he thought the presidents comments were inappropriate.
But McNair, Ross and Jones all reportedly acknowledged that the protests were financially hurting their teams.
Excerpted, go to the link below for full story on how we and President Trump kicked their $orry A$$es.
Any Freeper, who posts that our protests were not impacting the NFL owners, needs to have their brains MRIed to check on their brain injuries or they were/are paid NFL Trolls.
don't care...not watching...
the thought runs thru my mind....just what will we do without our STARS?...they’re so important in our lives...NOT!
