The incident started at around 3 p.m. May 5 in the 2800 block of South Memorial Drive, according to Tulsa World.
A police officer spotted 31-year-old Kayla Shelton driving a stolen pickup. When they attempted to stop her, she fled in the vehicle reaching speeds up to 100 MPH, according to Daily Mail.
During the pursuit, Shelton ditched the vehicle and started running on foot.
As Shelton attempted to flee across East 21st Street, one of the pursuing officers attempted to cut her off.
Dashcam video captured what happened next as an officer in the passenger seat tells the driver, "Don't hit her, don't hit her, don't hit her, don't hit her!"
The officer who was driving then hit her.
"I didn't mean to hit her," the driver said after the vehicle struck Shelton.
The officers got out and took Shelton into custody. She was transported to the hospital and determined to only have minor injuries.
Shelton has now been charged with possession of a stolen vehicle, possession of a controlled substance, and endangering others while eluding police, according to Daily Mail.
She is being held on $5,000 bond.

If I’m on the jury, that cop walks.
Should’ve backed up.
add damaging a police vehicle to the charges.
5000 bond? Maybe when they get serious about car theft there will be less.
Looking at that booking photo, she’s been hit before.
Did he yell stop resisting first?
There’s a video on YouTube that shows cops chasing in their car a armed woman in foot. She had the gun in her hand, and was known to have already shot one person. The cops sideswiped and ran her over. The officer driving was judged to have used appropriate force.

Never mind, they make reference to the video i described. Apparently it’s the same department.

“I was in fear for my life”
Works every time.
Just for edification, I, myself, you know, just me, have never run anyone over while the passenger in my vehicle shouted”don’t run her over” again and again.
That has never happened to me.
Just say’n.
Meth?
Yikes. Not even a certain Freeper would hit that.
Is this photo before or after being run over?

Oops? What do you mean “oops”?
That was her booking photo.
She wasn't run over - she was run into (the "run over" video was a different police chase. That one ended with the perp's death).
Based on the look on her face, I would assume the drugs helped quite well with any pain she may have been feeling.
If I was chasing somebody that had just committed multiple felonies and had endangered the lives of EVERYBODY on the road by evading at 100 MPH plus, I’d take her out and not lose a second of sleep about it. Considering the lives that she risked, she should be stopped by any way possible. Just sayin’.
