They make too much revenue off all the nanny rules/regs so the local government fiefdoms are not motivated to change anything. It's better to just avoid places that have cops walking on beaches looking for beer drinkers on a major holiday weekends. Can you imagine, drinking a beer on the beach during a holiday?☺
