I will give them credit for a fairly decent Brainiac 5 though.

That sounds slightly interesting. I always liked Brainiac 5 as superman's nemesis. So they came up with a pretty good Brainiac 5 for the Supergirl show? Still not enough to get me to watch it, but I wouldn't mind seeing how they portrayed him.

While we are on the subject of Superman Nemesis, I am utterly disgusted with the choice of Jessie Eisenberg as "Lex Luthor." I wasn't thrilled with Gene Hackman doing it either, but I think it is a terrible role for Jessie Eisenberg. That smart alec, smarmy, mouthy schtick just doesn't say "Lex Luthor" to me.

My recollection of Lex Luthor from the comics is that he was not only brilliant and inventive, he was pretty cut and strong. He wasn't Doc Savage, but he looked like he could hold his own in a physical fight.

Lex Luthor needs to be bigger and more intimidating. Jessie just doesn't have the heft.

Well - Brainiac was Sup’s Nemisis.

Braniac 5 was supposedly 5th generation removed but a good guy with Brainiac 2 making the break. Overall Supergirl has been ok - if they just took out the Social stuff and left it as a good sci-fi/hero thing it’d be fine ... but they Gotta jiggle the knob on things.

Eisenberg has been terrible. It might have worked on a Superboy movie, but not Superman.

Lex has had a couple iterations in the comics. Buff but smart con-man early, slightly overweight king-pin type in the late 80s...that one eventually became president I think...but was still pretty stout.
