Been watching this for the past several days ....... and nights. It’s addicting.
It’s been astounding to see how much the landscape has changed in that area since fissures 16 through 20 opened in that vicinity last week.

Here’s a link to a terrific, highly informative doctumentary detailing the history of Hawaii’s volcanoes. It’s a top notch doct. You will almost certainly learn a bunch of things you didn’t know previously.

If those are trees in the foreground on the right, that thing is pretty darn high, because, based on the fact that the tree hasn’t caught fire, the eruption must be some distance behind it.

It’s monstrous!
Yes, the lava fountain is a pretty good distance beyond the trees and is downhill from them. The house where they’re set up to get the live stream is about a half mile away and they’re zoomed in on it. It makes perspective a little difficult to grasp. It’s a little easier during the day time.

A good place for Mueller would be 1000 ft above that hanging face downward.

That’s what the entire state of Wyoming is going to look like when Yellowstone National Park blows up.

This is a screen shot I got from video recorded early yesterday as a couple of guys walked around. They were off to the right of what is seen on the live stream right now.
Check out that wall of lava that's built up the past few days!
This is from last Monday when fissure 17 started really cranking up. It's to the left of what's on the stream now. And just to the right of it is fissure 18, which is the one making all the explosive racket on the live stream now.

I can imagine it IS worrisome. I don’t reckon they have anything to worry about as far as lava flow but if the winds blow that direction, they would have the ash from Kilauea to deal with. And quakes.
As mesmerizing as it’s been to watch, the thoughts are always in mind of how this has affected MANY lives there.
