Military reunion videos tug at the heartstrings, even more so when that reunion involves a dog.
Throw in the fact that the dog was actually a rescue that a deployed soldier in Iraq managed to get back to Florida, and even the steeliest of dark hearts would be hard pressed to survive the sight of the tail-wagging, face-licking joy of one obviously happy canine. The soldier was pretty happy as well.
That's the case with a video of U.S. Army Reserve Sgt. Tracy McKithern, who took in a puppy that was wandering the streets near a base in northern Iraq in 2017 and through a lot of help managed to have that puppy make its way to Florida.

Well, that’s one dog the local Muzzlimes won’t be able to kill or maim. I am extremely happy for the dog and for her loving adopter.
I love that photo!!!
Ditto your post.
Great video. Lucky dog. My dog acts as if I’ve been gone 2 years if I’m gone 15 minutes. Stands outside the bathroom door etc. Spoiled...filtered water, sleeps on Italian leather, the works.
My doggie gets , on weekend mornings, some kibble with whipped cream on top....I call it a Kibble Latte.
And, she deserves it!
I ADORE whipped cream——and would probably steal it from your pup, kibble and all. :-)
.
That’s cute. My dog won’t do it’s business if anyone is looking. It’s a rare dog, very cat like, at about 120lbs. AKA my big house cat.
It’s probably a descendent of a dog the military abandoned in Iraq, after Gulf I or II.
That so cute! You’re a non recovering dog-lover!
OH, YES.
