I was on a Qanon twitter thread and a commenter posted that IF RR recuses himself or quits, President Trump can appoint someone for 210 days as “acting” and would it not be fabulous if he appointed Flynn or Rogers? They both already cleared their confirmations and belonging to the Military could be called back. That would be EXCELLENT.

That would be delicious. Much better than that Pinocchio guy who we have no idea if he's good or bad and has the stench of Obama on him.

What a wonderful idea. Can you imagine the lefties head explosions? It would be worth it if we just got to see that?

I am going to take your post and turn it into a prediction. Trump will NOT allow Pinocchio to step into the position when RR recuses or is forcibly fired (which he will be, one or the other). He will place an acting of his choosing and MAYBE one of the two you suggest.

Then let the fun begin.

ThankQ for cheering me up, goodman.

Depends on what you mean by fabulous.

See Vacancies Act. 5 USC 3345.

It can't be Flynn or Rogers. It has to be someone who has already been through the Senate approval process for an authoritative political position. Any authoritative position, so long as it was approved by the nominating/approval process. Flynn was in a position and Rogers resigned and would have to go through it again. He could, however, reposition someone from another department, someone else appointed in the DOJ, etc.
