“Right now isn’t that far away, is it?”
LOL. I thought it was tomorrow, or the day after.
The point is, I don’t know what the government (hospitals, clinics, etc) does with all of the biological materials they test. It used to be that it was only the criminals in some states that had actual DNA tests run.
But since they advertised the use of Ancestry/DNA type sites to catch at least two suspects in the last few weeks, I wonder what they do keep. And, with the generally low (and earned) level of trust in government these days, who knows? And what of what they say can be believed?
I get that.
MY point was that all healthcare providers and facilities utilize “The Cloud” for patient records. The Cloud ^is^ LifeLog and all that info is available to IC and MI at the click of a mouse.
Much of the information on The Cloud is put there voluntarily...no warrant needed!
As I understand it, every baby born is skin prick tested with a drop of blood collected for DNA screening. The sample is supposed to be destroyed shortly thereafter but 7 states have kept the smear cards.
Which brings up another not oft enough repeated point. If the government or one of its elected tapeworms comes up with what appears to be a really good idea, or more often one that sounds like its going to do or solve something that you accept because its not going to affect you...
You can TAKE TO THE BANK that eventually its going to ream you in some way, shape, form or evolution. It is especially going to do this, without lube, if the enabling legislation appropriates money for it.
If for some unusual occurrence guided by the alignment of planets or humming of patchouli oil soaked vegans the legislation actually solves a problem, or appears to be getting ready to, there will be a plethora of remora like scavenger minions that attempt and usually succeed at redefining the problem to expand its scope.
