In a sometimes-surreal interview with Greek television news channel Antenna, Antonios Pagourtzis, the father of the accused school shooter in Texas said that his son wasnt a criminal, but a victim.
His comment came during a telephone interview that the network broadcast on their newscast in Greece.
Pagourtzis denied any responsibility in his sons murderous rampage that killed ten people in a Texas school, criticizing people who said that there was blood on his guns.
The guns were clean, Pagourtzis said in the interview, adding that he as hurt that a lot of the negative press about him was coming from his homeland, Greece.
But the most shocking statement in the interview was when the grieving father stated categorically that his son wasnt a criminal but, in fact, a victim. He blamed others who may have bothered his son, whom he described as a strong kid.

Did someone drown David “the Hogg”? Haven’t heard a word from him as of late.
My dad and my uncle, both World War II vets, both taught me how to take care of myself physically, and to understand that physical pain was only temporary. There were bullies in my past and they all received bloody noses. There were never second encounters with said bullies.
Simple solution. Your pit bull kills someone because of your negligence, you are accountable. Same for parents, if their children use their guns in a crime, they own the crime. Only would take a few well-publicized cases and it would be a safer (not safe, safer) world.
I'll get flack for saying this, but a lot of teachers who have been certified since - roughly speaking- the 1970's have a tendency towards allowing a kid to be bullied if the kid somehow pushes their buttons wrong. There are "physical bullies" and "emotional bullies" (often being "popular," "nice," or "smart" kids); when a teacher too strongly empathizes with the latter, they can exacerbate the problem. Often, the bullied kid is treated more harshly by the school system than the bullies, justified by "zero tolerance" gobbledygook.
My dad came from a very poor - some also inaccurately added "trashy," - family, and until his dying day he had no good words for the teachers who only praised or helped the town's "rich kids." Dad became - because of these fondly remembered teachers - a teacher himself.
One generation later, I witnessed the same thing being done to other kids. I was bullied by other kids not because we were poor, but because I was "different" enough to be a convenient victim. Luckily, I was apparently endearing enough to be treated decently by all my teachers, if not always kindly.
How did the Postal Service stop employees from going postal?
It comes from having huge schools. The problem with 'school' shootings is schools. Small neighborhood, private, charter and magnet schools and even home schooling on a computer would be much better for guiding students. Of course, FIRST the parents have to be involved with their children.
Read a relevant book several years ago (fiction) by Jodi Picoult, NINETEEN MINUTES. It is about the dynamics of a teenage school shooter, the kid who had been teased, and bullied all of his life to the point of complete despair and breaking point. The most interesting relationship was between the mother and son. A really good read for today.
Is there a mother of the shooter in the picture? I have heard no
mention of any mother or other family members just yet.

Rose Marie Pagourtzis, who also goes by the name Rose Maria Kosmetatos, is
the mother of accused Santa Fe High School school shooter Dimitrios Pagourtzis.
Rosemarie K Pagourtzis is listed in a Texas Tribune salaries database as
Administrative Associate in Pediatric Endocrinology, a department of The
University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. She makes $42,201, and her
race was listed as Hispanic/Latina in that database, although she shared
posts about Greek heritage on Facebook. She was hired in September 2013.

Dittos here as well. There were 4 kids in junior high who tormented the hell out of me. I grew up on a farm and ranch and had guns around me all of the time. The thought NEVER occurred to me to take revenge with a firearm. NEVER! I sucked it up and hit the weights and put on 30 pounds of weight. They left me alone after I kicked the shit out of one kid.
Kids today are pussies. You ought to see the college kids today in my line of work. There are some good kids but there are kids whose coddling helicopter parents have ruined.
ALL of the girls I “loved” in high school (that dropped me) have been married AND divorced at least once. One...three times.
I count my blessings.
Another really great fiction read on the subject of a school killing is “We Need to Talk About Kevin”, by Lionel Shriver. It too was about the relationship between the mother and son.
He was trying to enroll in Santa Fe High, but he enrolled in the New Mexico one, he didn’t know of Santa Fe Texas...
Antidepressants?
The pharmaceutical cartel will never allow any such study.
Never
I BR dance with my wife. It should be part of the school curriculum. We get compliments from other people, too. And you don’t have to be that great, either.
The kid IS a criminal.
HOWEVER, TWO things can be true - he’s a criminal, AND the way the schools allow bullying causes this sort of stuff.
According to the news, he was bullied by school coaches, and other students and then the last straw was the public humiliation over the girl.
Combine the way schools are run with mind altering drugs, video shoot everybody games, and Godlessness and what do you get?
I think we are seeing the answer play out all over the USA.
Thanks for the information.
No doubt she is devastated.
Short courtship. My wife and I dated for 8 months now we will celebrate our 55th Anniversary and we have the scars to prove it.
Probably because a black evil AR (Automatic Rifle) that fires 4000 rounds a minute wasn't used in the crime ...
Unfortunately, I think you’re right. More of these crazed killers are NOT being killed during their murders.
Maybe today’s police are too worried about losing their privacy and their jobs if the killing becomes a huge political cause. This happened quite frequently during the Obama years. I’m guessing that the cops presume they are being filmed from various angles at all times.
