I believe you are right and wrong. There is something to the Russian malfeasance. Unfortunately for Mueller it is not what he is trying to prove. The Russians were trying to discredit the American Election system(s), probably not realizing they were throwing bait into already chummed water. I suspect that there is Kremlin backing to the Russian company that decided to hire defense lawyers to defend them against charges they interfered in the election, for the straight forward goal of discrediting the American legal and judicial system, Mueller walked himself into a trap there.

The goal from day one when they set out to get rid of Trump and save hillary... was just that. They didn’t care about russia .. obama had just interfered with Israel elections.. the dem party knew they had been hacked by russia.. there was just one thing on their minds.. to get hillary in there so they could continue their swamp.
They saw Trump might be a problem and set out to stop him.. it was never about russia influence in an election. they did manage to convince the people that it was .. some of them.. but the media and all of obama’s horde.. they knew it was only to get Trump. If they couldn’t get him out.. at least slow him down and make him weary..
