The book the series is based upon consistently portrays Christians as behaving like they are Muslims who live in Saudi Arabia. The author has been challenged on that and says Ït’s fiction”
Leftist really think this what a Christian society would look like despite the fact that they can never point to one that looked like that.
I understand that companies like Hulu and Netflix have to cater to a broad audience to make a profit. I am not going to agree, enjoy or approve of every video they produce or show but that book is so flawed, so hateful and so filled with demonstrably false presumptions U refuse to even consider Hulu as an option for streaming video.
Liberal secularists look at modern Christians as would-be Taliban while ignoring the repeated modern Islamic theocracies that look like this: Al Shabab, Boko Haram, Taliban, ISIS.
Their refusal to condemn Islam’s repeated modern theocracies is damning.
Their paranoia that modern Christians are closeted violent theocrats is insane paranoia.
They’re afraid of the wrong faith, and the world suffers for it.
Yeah exactly. it’s amazing how badly they get it wrong. This show is portraying an Islamic society and pretending that’s what Christians want.

I began to read “The Handmaid’s Tale,” because my high school sophomore Granddaughter was forced to read it. I was appalled and did not finish the book. However, I did make clear to my child what the writer was trying to accomplish politically through the writing of this horrible piece of fiction. That the hedonistic movie makers have aggrandized such a piece of work is not surprising, is it? We have Netflix but have largely abandoned it. We now look for older TV shows, such as “Everybody Loves Raymond, and Frasier,” to help us relax after a busy day. The pollution of young minds is increasing in this society and a saturation point is not far into the future. How hard it is to find wisdom and truth in such an environment as this?
The Handmaids Tale is about islam, period, whether or not the author actually REALIZES or will admit it is of no consequence.
