Prince Harry reportedly had to intervene against the wishes of his family to make sure his uncles former wife, Sarah, Duchess of York, was invited to his wedding next Saturday.
Even still, the former Sarah Ferguson, 58, popularly known as Fergie, is said to be deeply upset to be excluded from the inner sanctum evening reception at Frogmore House, a large estate near Windsor Castle, at which the guest list is controlled by Harrys father, Prince Charles.
What is worse, from the Duchesss perspective, is that her daughters, Beatrice and Eugenie, who are both close with their cousin Harry, are invited.
The snub is the latest flashpoint in a long history of tension between the Windsors and the former wife of the Queens second son, Prince Andrew, Duke of York.
The Queens husband Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh, is said to be the frostiest toward his former daughter-in-law, with the Queen taking pains to ensure they are never in the same room. Charles is thought to take his cue from his father, and William from his.
The Daily Mail reported the Duchess has been complaining about this to anyone who will listen, and quoted a source: Numbers are limited to the evening party. She is not a member of the Royal Family any more and Prince Charles simply doesnt have time for her. He just cant see why she is still such a big part of his brothers life.
Nor is there much hope for a lasting peace. Later this year, Princess Eugenie is set to marry Jack Brooksbank, also at St. Georges Chapel in Windsor Castle. As mother of the bride, the Duchess is likely to have the opportunity to host her own party, and set her own guest list.

Yawn...
Well, I didnt get an invite either. Screw em.
Were just the bloody squires in their eyes....Agree screw em.
“Fergie is definitely low rent.”
As compared to who in the royal family?
This is well beyond first world.
A true Brit would be getting sloshed at a Pub in preparation for the FA Cup final. They should be arguing and commentating over the game along with the season as a whole. Only mention of the wedding should be questioning why the crapfest was scheduled on the same day as the FA finals. Prince Harry looks like he will be cucked over in more ways than one with this chick.
So the daughters are going even though Mom was not invited? And Andrew? Seems the proper thing for them to do is go to dinner somewhere that evening and ignore the party.
So she is going to miss the wedding of the century? The new very dark mother in law will be on the front row.
I agree, but she and Andrew are really close ... they live in the same house, for Pete’s sake! Perhaps they’ll remarry after dad kicks off.
I was only 12 when she married the dud. I can remember staying up all night to watch it.
The royals really did a number on her. She was too good for them...especially that rotten person they sacrificed her to. He didn't love her from the start. But she loved him.
Anyway, I can't forgive those royals for not speaking up for the little baby and his parents. Even if it was futile in the end for the little boy, they didn't do the right thing by not erring on the side of life. Any of those little royal babies would not have been treated in such a fashion.
Last night, my daughter and I were looking through old magazines that I had saved from the 80s and 90s. I was quite pleased to discover I had saved a few of them from the aftermath of Diana's passing.
Rest in Peace Di.
Fergie seems okay but shes an ex-wife. She shouldnt expect to be treated like shes still part of the family other than through her kids. Thats just the way it goes.
She should be used to it by now. After the toe-sucking fiasco, what does she expect?
How many muslims has Prince Foppy invited?
The Obamas are invited. There’s two....or maybe four, if the kids are coming.
I wonder if the Muzzie mayor of London is invited.
Yeah, there is that Hot vs Crazy chart that all guys know instinctively. Tough call here. One night - yeah, marriage - oh, hell no!
Don't forget the hats. I'm sure there will be some outrageous ones.
Queen Elizabeth for one. A great lady - if you could recognize one, DR.
