Yeah, it supposedly was their money. Or at least that’s what we’ve been told all along. I don’t believe more than about 10% of “what I’ve been told all along” any more.
At any rate, imagine if for some reason you had a wad of money in your hand that belonged to your next door neighbor and then your neighbor kidnapped your kids. If you finally got your kids back after more than a year and your neighbor continued to threaten you, would you give the money back because “it was their money”? I wouldn’t.
I’m the kind of person who will walk back into a store and return the change if they give me too much or tell the checker that even though she swiped 4 cans of beans only 3 rang up. Because it’s the right thing to do. But there is something really wrong about the Iran situation. On so many levels.
